These are the terms for using Corpus. They are concise so that you can actually understand them.
Corpus is in alpha
Features are subject to change and may occasionally break. Your support is appreciated in calling any issues to our attention. You should not make Corpus the only place a thing you cannot lose is written down, so export regularly.
Your account
One account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at hello@mycorpus.net if you think someone else has reached your account.
What you write stays yours
You own everything you put into Corpus. You give us permission to store it, process it, and show it back to you, which is what running the service requires and is the entire extent of the permission. We do not acquire any right to publish it, sell it, license it onward, or train on it.
Our access and permission ends when you delete your account. Export is always available, and always free, so leaving never means starting over.
What we ask of you
Do not use Corpus to break the law, to store material you have no right to hold, or to attack the service or other people using it.
Price
Corpus is free during the alpha. Later, the AI features become a subscription, expected at $20 per month. Reading and exporting your own data stays free permanently, on any plan or none.
Deleting your account
You can stop using Corpus whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it at any time. We may close an account that is being used to harm the service or other people, and we will tell you why unless doing so would make the problem worse.
What we do not promise
Corpus is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that recall will surface a particular memory, or that the software is free of faults. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of using Corpus is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the alpha is nothing.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect.
